What sender name would the receiver see for a transaction?
Let's divide this into transaction types:
SWIFT Transfers
All SWIFT transactions (priority payments) see your (the account holder) name and account number in the receipt. This is applicable to all currencies.
Local Transfers
Local transfers (regular payments) are done through our partner network, and the recipient may see 'The Currency Cloud' or a partner's name in the receipt. For GBP and EUR transfers, the receiver will see your (account holder) name on the receipt. We are soon implementing the Sender Display for USD as well. However, the sender account number would still display as one of our partner's account numbers for GBP, EUR and USD transfers.
If you are transferring funds to a beneficiary where it is important that your name and account number reflect on the receipt, you must use SWIFT transfers.
